The importance and difficulties of researching into fraud Abstract Over the past decade commercial and technological developments have revolutionized the business world. Whilst the existence of fraud may be as old as time, these developments have created new threats to organizations. The internet has provided the basis for cybercrime - and cyber terrorism is only one step beyond this. At such a time, the importance of research into security issues should not be underestimated.
